Some of you might know, that I enjoy Wiki adoption. A very small part of my role at my current employer is to promote Wiki adoption within the Enterprise.
With that in mind, it’s real exciting news to see that ‘Grow Your Wiki‘ is growing. Stuart Mader has just announced that Grow Your Wiki is moving into a specialist consultancy focused on organizational Wiki adoption. This is great news for the Enterprise Web 2.0 community and organisations around the world looking to increase collaboration and knowledge sharing between their employees.
Read Write Web posted an article not long ago titled “Wikis are now Serious Business:
“Wikis are some of the first online social software that many people in the enterprise come in contact with. They can be very popular for project management work. A recent report from Forrester estimated that enterprises spent $63 million on wikis last year, meaning that the consumer wiki provider Wetpaint has now raised 2/3 as much venture capital as the entire enterprise market spent on the medium last year. Forrester predicts though that by 2013, that spending will grow to $451 million – more than will be spent on blog software, podcasting or widgets.”
It’s great to see something progress from the consumer social networking space, into the Enterprise social networking space. Wiki’s have done just that.
Stuart has posted a listing of services that “Grow Your Wiki” will provide. These go from from presentation sessions, to strategy sessions and then to hands-on workshops.
It’s great to see this as Wiki’s grow into a critical part of every organisation, there is a great need for these types of professional services.
